Renewal of Vows

Whether you are celebrating 1 year or 50 years together, renewing your vows is a wonderful way to celebrate the life that you have built together.

Having a ceremony to mark the special occasion means that you can reaffirm your feelings for one another in front of all of your nearest and dearest. You can retain elements of your original wedding day, and even embrace new ideas that reflect who you are now and indeed your current lifestyles.

You could incorporate milestone elements into the ceremony (wood, silver, pearl, gold etc), and I have lots of ideas of ways to involve family and friends so that they feel a part of your special celebration.

Lots of couples like their vow renewals to mimic the format of a wedding with a ceremony followed by a meal and a party later, but really, it can run however you would like it to. For example, you may prefer to have a celebration followed by an afternoon tea with lawn games, or what about an early evening ceremony followed by a drinks reception.

However and whenever you choose to hold it, I can guide you through the format and together we can create a celebration completely unique to you.

During the ceremony, you can re-exchange vows or share new ones, guests could come up to do readings and you can include the re-dedication of rings. It can be as formal or informal as you like and I will make sure you are relaxed and ready to enjoy all of the special moments on the day.

Let’s chat

Before booking, let’s chat! I’d love to hear more about your celebration and what you are looking for from your celebrant. If you decide that I am the perfect celebrant for your day and want to go ahead and book me, I take a 50% deposit. I’ll then send you a contract so we have an agreement in writing along with some questions to get most of your initial ideas down.

Let’s meet

Then it’s over to me to create a beautiful, personalised ceremony script which captures your story and unique personalities. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to make edits and suggestions. We’ll work on it until you’re completely happy that it’s right.

We will meet up a month-or-so before your ceremony just to finalise everything and to make sure that everything is perfect.

Let’s go

On the day of the ceremony I’ll arrive early so I have time to meet everyone directly involved in the celebration. And once we are ready to start, I’ll conduct your personalised ceremony, guaranteed to leave everyone feeling all warm and fuzzy!
